Timber decking designs for your garden- build your deck with our softwood timber

Decking continues to be one of our most popular product lines, the use of a deck can turn the worst part of your garden into a fantastic useable area to entertain friends and family or relax and enjoy the summer sunshine. Things to consider are: position, sun, shade, size/functionality, single or split levels, handrails and decking material (hard/softwood).

HFS recommends a series of local landscapers and designers who can suggest the most appropriate use of space and supply a quotation for materials and fitting if required.

Standard Decking in Softwood Timber

Our standard decking is made from kiln dried pressure treated Scandinavian Redwood which is virtually knot-free and is not prone to warping, ensuring your deck remains in excellent condition for years to come. We offer a variety of lengths ranging from 3.3m to 5.4m along with bearers up to 6.0m Long. The standard thickness of decking is ex 125mm x 38mm. All deck boards are grooved on one side and smooth on the reverse, giving you the option of surfaces, for example: all grooved, all smooth or intermittent.

Trade Option

Alongside our premium range, we also offer a Trade option, which is wider, but not as thick as the premium decking. The trade decking is ex 155mm x 32mm.

Hardwood Decking

Hardwood decking or anti-slip decking is available to order, please contact us for a quote.

Handrails

Handrails are also to be considered to give your deck an added feature, either for safety or aesthetic purposes. You can choose either decoratively turned newel posts or plain square spindles.

Please note: Our decking is supreme quality Scandinavian Redwood, which should not be compared with Scottish Pine, an inferior quality softwood, riddled with knots and prone to splits.
